NEW MEMBERS PARTY
Saturday, April 19th, 7:30 pm: New Members Party at the home of Craig Derksen. Members who have joined or reinstated in the last 6 months are especially invited to this opportunity to meet other Mensans. Members who joined prior to that, please bring a snack to share. There will likely be games to play as well as good conversation. Call 216-9818 to RSVP or to get directions.
Can We Talk? (CWT) is moving! CWT is on Thursday evenings at 7:30 pm. On April 17, CWT is moving to Tee Jaye's (TJ's) Country Place Restaurant, 4910 N. High St at Morse Rd, Cols (43214); 614-885-1383. Ways to reach the TJ's at High & Morse (parking lot is accessible from both streets) -- it's about one mile west of the I-71-Morse Rd. exit. From I-270 (north of Worthington), take the southbound N. High St. exit -- about three miles south. From the west, travel east on Henderson Rd., turn left onto High St., and travel north about one mile. They have great, Home cooked meals and they're open 24 hours. Started in 1970 by Jules and Nita Sokol, TJ's is family owned & operated. There are nine TJ's: the farthest away is Zanesville. They'll have us either in the "rear" meeting area or in the center of the room (tables to pull together). Col-M Assembly Party, Wednesday, April 23rd at 8:00 pm - Help is always welcome for the Col-M Assembly Party, at the home of Dick and Carla Nuenke in Columbus. Come help collate, fold, staple, and label the newsletter. Please call Dick or Carla at 326-0452 if you are attending, since occasionally the news-letter assembles itself.
ExCom Meeting: April 6th, at 5:00 pm - Local members welcome; contact Craig Derksen at 216-9818 if you are attending. If you volunteer for a job, you will be met at the door with cheers and applause.
Submissions deadline for COL-M: Friday, April 18th. - This is a firm deadline. Original writing, poetry, photographs, drawings, or anything else printable will be accepted and printed at the editor's discretion. Send to cnuenka@netscape.net.
